Dear Arts Patrons, Aficionados and Supporters,
Happy December and holidays to everyone! 2022 is coming soon and we have some exciting initiatives coming down the pike to enhance the vibrancy and health of the arts and culture industry! We certainly could not do any of these critical things without the generous support of our corporate sponsors and individuals like YOU! Thanks to everyone who has and continues to donate to Embracing Arlington Arts to help us help the arts!
It is not too late to get that tax deduction for 2021. If you believe in our work, please consider an end of year donation so that we can even increase our initiatives in the coming year (see below for details). No amount is too small OR to large! Thank you in advance and Happy New Year!

Business Plan for Arlington Performing Arts Center
Our work with a consultant to draft a business plan for an Arlington Performing Arts Center is moving rapidly. The consultant is meeting with several Arlington arts organizations, as well as similar venues around the region and nationwide to gather intelligence and insight.
We also will be looking to you, our readers for some input. In the January issue of this Update, we will be including a link to a brief survey that we will be asking you as arts supporters and patrons to complete. The goal is to solicit not only your views on why a new venue would be a plus for the County, but also to determine your views on attending live events, theater productions, concerts and more. This information will be a critical component of our business plan so we encourage everyone to complete it once it is released.
Corporate Sponsor of the Month:
Our corporate sponsor of the month is Amazon. Amazon’s mission is to be earth’s most customer-centric company. It is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus; passion for invention; commitment to operational excellence; and long-term thinking. Customer review, 1-click shopping, personalized recommendations, Prime, fulfillment by Amazon, AWS, Kindle Direct Publishing, Kindle, Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo and Alexa are some of the products and services pioneered by Amazon.
“Embracing Arlington Arts Talks” Podcast:
Due to the holidays, we took a week off from airing new podcasts. But our two November guests were very interesting. First, we checked in with the Executive Director of the Ballston BID Tina Leone to learn about their upcoming Holiday Wreath event and other fun things coming in 2022. Our second guest was visual artist Jean Sausele-Knodt who told us about her current exhibition at the Fred Schnider Gallery of Art of unique sculptures.

Media Hits:
The ArlNow Community Posts columns by Arlington arts groups continued and this month the Gallery Underground used the opportunity to promote their annual “Artful Weekend.” We will be continuing these columns throughout 2022.
